SRE and SEE classes Term Three 2022
Special religious education (SRE) is education in the beliefs and practices of an approved religious persuasion. It is delivered by authorised representatives of approved religious groups to students who have nominated that religion.
Special education in ethics (SEE) is a program in ethical decision making, action and reflection within a secular framework. We will provide an option of SEE to students who are not attending SRE, when a qualified teacher is available for SEE. Primary Ethics is the approved provider of SEE for students K-6.
If you wish to change your child’s scripture group from Semester one you have until Monday the 25th of July to do so as scripture will commence on Wednesday the 27th. Below are the options we have available. This Semester SEE will have two volunteers to teach allowing us to introduce ethics to year two as well as the existing Yr 4 class. If students are not attending structured SRE/ SEE classes they will be supervised whilst doing alternative meaningful activities. This could include reading, private study or completing homework.
Each class has a capped number for student participation, we endeavour to place all students into the chosen preference but unfortunately this is not always possible. Students will not be able to swap between classes during the term. Form submission to change to another SRE / SEE class will only be acted upon for the beginning of the next term.
